Walgreens 5/30 Spent $11.62, saved $115.21!!!!

Okay, so I may have gone overboard a bit today at Walgreens but there were just so many great deals!  I started with no Register Rewards at all.  I would have ended with 4 2RR from the Ecotrin but my coffee maker died this past week and so when I found one for $9.99 I got really excited!

Here's what I got this week:
11 cans Bumblebee Tuna
2 Luster White toothpaste
2 U by Kotex Pads
2 U by Kotex Liners
2 Coppertone 30spf sunscreen (you can't see it in the pic very well, but they are both 25% bonus cans!)
12 Ecotrin asprin
9 Royal Gelatin
2 W Foil
2 Nivea for Men bodywash
1 4 cup Coffee Maker
Total oop: $11.62 tax included and saved $115.21!!!  Whoazaa!
Oh!  The Kotex was printing catalina coupons as well so I have 2 free Always pads and 1 free Always liner (the catalina printer ran out of paper on the first one, I was just happy it was on a coupon and not a RR)

All in all I did 19 transactions (I told you I went a bit overboard! lol)

12 transactions for the Ecotrin, each gave me 2RR
Ectorin $2
Used $2/1 5/16RP or printable
$0.19 oop each

Fred's Doublers!

I got Fred's latest ad in the mail earlier this week and saw something that I did not know!  Fred's will double all coupons up to $0.70 on Saturdays!  Check out this weeks ad HERE.  I didn't see anything for this week that I'm really excited about but I'm sure this will pan out in the future for some good deals.

NO INSERTS this week, May 30th.  There will be a Redplum, Smartsource, and Proctor & Gamble next week though!  (June 6th)  Take this week to go through your coupons and pull out expired ones, and organize!  I did this last night and have 2 baggies  to send to military families.  Did you know that military members/families can use coupons up to 6 months past the expiration date?  Keep an eye out for my post early next week on where to send them!  :0)  For right now, separate them into food and non-food and place them in sandwich baggies.  Food is anything a human would eat.  Dog food and vitamins qualify as non-food.

My 90% Savings Plan for Walgreens this Week!

I wrote about the Ecotrin MoneyMaker HERE.  I was able to order some coupons from The Coupon Clippers so I have 12 total.  If you didn't get the coupon in you 5/16RP, you can print them HERE

So here's what I'm planning:

Buy Ectorin $2
Use $2/1
$0 oop ($0.20 w/TN sales tax), get back $2 RR!
(doing this 12 times, giving me 12 $2RR)

Buy 2 Edy's Ice Cream 2/$6
       W Foil $0.59 w/in-ad q
       W Foil $0.59 w/in-ad q
Use $1/2 Edy's Ice Cream Products (got in the mail)
      $2.00 Ecotrin RR
      $2.00 Ecotrin RR
      $2.00 Ecotrin RR

Buy U by Kotex $3.49
       BumbleBee Tuna $0.69 w/in-ad q

$0.07 oop, $0.58 w/TN sales tax, get back $2.50 RR
(Doing this 4 times, giving me 4 $2.50 RR)

Buy Luster White 7 Toothpaste
       Royal Gelatin $0.20 w/in-ad q
Use $2.50 Kotex RR
       $2.50 Kotex RR
$0.20 oop, $0.72 w/TN sales tax, get $5 RR
(doing this 2 times, giving me 2 $5.00 RR)

Buy Coppertone Continuous Spray 50spf Sunscreen $9.99
Coppertone Continuous Spray 50spf Sunscreen $9.99
       BumbleBee Tuna $0.69 w/in-ad q
       BumbleBee Tuna $0.69 w/in-ad q
       BumbleBee Tuna $0.69 w/in-ad q
Use $4/1 W Coppertone
       $4/1 W Coppertone
$2/1 Coppertone Printable (no longer avail)
$2/1 Coppertone Printable (no longer avail)
       $5.00 Luster RR
       $5.00 Luster RR
$0.05 oop, $2.25 w/TN sales tax

So, for $9.31(w/TN sales tax) I'm getting $92.32 worth of merchandise!  And I'll still have 1 $2RR from the Ecotrin.  Obviously, not everyone is going to have 12 Ecotrin coupons.  I stocked up because I knew we'd be needing sunscreen with my husband's new river guiding job and he's also been whining about wanting ice cream!  lol  Even if you don't have a large number of Ecotrin coupons, still take advantage of the money maker and get some items you need.  Feel free to comment with how many you have and I can help you work out the best scenario!

Target Steals 5/20/10

I went to Target tonight in hopes of scoring a sweet deal on toilet paper that I wrote about here.  Well, my Target doesn't carry the 4 packs of Cottonelle so no deal for me.  (just another check in the long list of cons for the JC Target)  BUT I did score on some other items we needed.

Here's what  I got, I had to split it up in 3 transaction because the coupons I had for the light bulbs specifically said "one offer per transaction"

Transaction 1 I got:
1 CFL Bulb $1.99
3 45 Count Bounce Dryer Sheets $1.94 each
  Total: 7.81 before taxes
 I used:
$2.00 off Energy Smart Light Bulb Target Coupon

$1.00 off Energy Smart Light Bulb coupons.com
$0.50 off Bounce 5/2PG
$0.50 off Bounce 5/2PG
$0.50 off Bounce 5/2PG
$0.75 off Bounce at Target 5/16SS
$0.75 off Bounce at Target 5/16SS
$0.75 off Bounce at Target 5/16SS
$0.83 remainder of free gift card
  Total OOP:  $0.58 taxes included

Transaction 2 I got:
1 CFL Bulb $1.99
1 Box Plastic Spoons $1.37
  Total:  $3.38 before taxes
 I used:
$2.00 off Energy Smart Light Bulb Target Coupon
$1.00 off Energy Smart Light Bulb coupons.com
   Total OOP: $0.50 taxes included

Transaction 3 I got:
1 CFL Bulb $1.99
1 Loaf Sara Lee Bread $1.89
  Total: $3.88 before taxes
I used:
$2.00 off Energy Smart Light Bulb Target Coupon
$1.00 off Energy Smart Light Bulb coupons.com
  Total OOP: $1.04 taxes included

Target Totals For The Night:
Before Coupons: $15.07 before taxes
OOP taxes included: $2.12!!!  I used to pay that for the bread alone!

One note on my coupons, some cashiers/managers will not allow the 2nd coupon the the light bulbs because it causes overage.  If you still have these coupons, try it at your store.  Even if you can't use the second coupon, it's still a free light bulb, just not a money making light bulb.  :0)
